*Step 2: Intermediate Companion: Play & Train

Six one-hour weekly classes $175

This course is for those who have completed STEP 1: Basic Companion 1, its equivalent, or with instructor consent.

Games*, play, and agility are among the techniques used to solidify obedience training and work towards off-lead control.

Play & Train reinforces & adds to obedience skills through the use of games* and agility exercises.

Also, it is a fun way to keep your dog active & with other dogs through those long New England winter months.

*Some game examples are Wait at the Door, “Chase Me” Recalls; Water & Spoon Game; Pass the Dog; Hula Hoop Leave It; Go To Your Mat Race; Grocery Bag Relay

Details:

  • Students must register for a minimum of six classes.
  • The fee for six classes is $175.  Additional classes can be added for $20 per class (up to 5 additional classes) and $15 per class (6 or more additional classes).
  • This is an ongoing class. Students set their own start dates.
  • Weekly attendance is not mandatory. However, a one-day notice (given in the morning the day before class) is mandatory to keep missed classes in the “bank.” Without notice, a missed class is counted as used/lost.
  • Class on a particular day may be postponed if the majority of students has given notice that they will not be attending on a certain day. All students will then be notified of postponement the day before class .
